How to tell if one has been involved linkfarm?

    1) several sites in linkfarm link to you,but you did not linkback
    2) you link to some sites involved in linkfarm,but they did not linkback
    3) you both link to each other.

    Will the situation 1) and 2) be penalized by google??

    And is there any tool to check whether one site has been involved in linkfarm?
