I want to buy a domain from godaddy but I don't want a dropped domain, I want a new one.
I seached for the domain I want in godaddy and it's listed as available.
How can I tell the domain hasn't been dropped before?

Go to http://whois.domaintools.com and search for the domain name. In the registration tab, it should tell you when it was created for the first time. That should tell you if its been registered before.

This is the page for Google.com under the registration tab:

    Hope that answers your query.
