I have local business listed in yelp. They always filter good reviews and shows rating using reviews which are posted in 2012. From last three years they haven't approved any genuine review and improved rating. There are more than 60 filtered review including of members who have posted more than 7 reviews on yelp. I don't know how to tackle the issue. Can anyone help me in this regard?
Yelp has the best rating system I have seen till date. They have a system in the backend which associates a degree of trust to users posting the review. How exactly it does it I have no idea. But here are some pointers I have gathered from their review guidelines. 1. the review posting user must have a good history 2. The review content must not be clearly promotional. The tone of the review gives you away. 3. If you are anyhow related with the business owner your review is nullified. Like shared IP usage, common cookies, activity on mutual interests (your review and owners review on a third business) etc 4. If your review is upvoted by trusted users it gains prominence. 5. Any fake accounts you make to add reviews can fall under point 3. 6. Reviews from user from countries not covered by Yelp
I agree rooturaj. But at the same time, I don't believe that out of 60 reviews in last 3 years there is not a single relevant review. Its highly impossible. We had some personal lead based deal issue with Yelp and so it looks act based on personal grievances to me. Is there any way to tackle this?
