You can become a Google News Source site and have every one of your articles syndicated in Google News. It is life changing.

as far as i know it depends on the popularity of your site.. google are the one who decides which sites are they going to show on google news.. and they usually fetch well established sites..

That is not correct. The popularity of a site has nothing to do with it.

I can't post links yet because I'm new here, but to request that your content is included in Google News just contact them and they'll review your site. Search for "contact google news" on Google and click on the first link - there's a link there called "Suggest news content".

There are a few hoops to jump through and a few things that you need to comply with to be accepted. For example you need to be a multiauthor news source - just having one writer is not enough. On a site that I worked on, we had multiple writers via Adfero DirectNews, but we had to actually publish their names on our site against each article before Google News would let us in.

But once you've complied with all of their requirements it's pretty quick and easy to get listed.

There are a number of site requirements that you must achieve before getting approved. It's pretty simple if you have the right plan. I wrote a step by step guide to getting approved the first time. It was my blueprint and it has worked for my students as well. The biggest thing is to know exactly what they are looking for and make sure that you comply to the T, both technically and aesthetically. Then once you are approved, knowing how to profit from the exposure is also an important one :)

Good content and URL requirement (3 numbers in it) is what is the main criteria.
