Anyone can share on how to success in the affiliate program?I heard a lot of ppl making money thru affiliate program.The problem is which affiliate program i need to participate and how to market it?Is it worth it to market it thru Adwords? Other ppl said about opt-in list. Some time i got confuse where to start.
Well I have an information website about Spain. I use commission junction (and others) to join affiliate programs and try to sell relevant products to my visitors. I personally haven't seen a ton of success through that, but much more so with PPC programs like Adsense. I guess if you could find an affiliate program with a high enough payout per sell/lead, then you could market it using Adwords to get visitors who are looking for your affiliate program's products. Many affiliate programs don't allow bidding on branded keywords, however, so read your terms of service carefully.
Many books and e-books have been written on this topic. But here is a short overview. Step 1: Choose a target audience you would like to work with. Learn about their needs and what motivates them to buy. Step 2: Develop a free "how-to" guide, report, audio or video that solves some problems for your target audience. This will encourage people so sign up for your list. Create a sign up page for the free giveaway. Step 3: Drive traffic to your sign up page. Use techniques such as advertising in search engines, traffic exchanges, advertising in newsletters, posting in discussion forums, etc. Track each technique to see what works best for you. Step 4: Provide regular, valuable content (perhaps a newsletter) to people who have joined your list such as articles, tools and resources. Add some review of products that you are an affiliate of, but make sure you provide useful content and just don't continually hammer them to buy something new. As your list of people interested in the topic area you have chosen grows, so will your income.
You probably already know about this as most people would recommend it. But anway have you tried Adsense.
It works OK! It doesn't bring in all of my income, but it helps towards it. As you can see I also have alot of other sites just so all my eggs are not in one basket. Also, it has taken me around 3 years to builded this affiliate programs directory up from scratch. That includes writing all of the html and other script language using notepad plus also adding good affiliate programs and promoting it. So as you can see it does take some time to build up a website. But aswell as doing the affiliate programs directory I have also been doing alot of other things in between, which mainly involves my other sites. My affiliate programs directories growth is picking up and hopefully it will continue in that I will get alot more new and good programs listed in it plus get a nice amount of added visitors per month.
