2 minutes to never. There is no way of knowing...

    - what is the steps?
    RTFM!!!!!

And I can't stress that enough. Read the submission guidelines, as well as the editor guidelines. Understand them and use them to your advantage.

Have ORIGINAL CONTENT. If you copy and paste your site from various sources it greatly lowers your chances...unless you are a DMOZ clone, then they encourage such things

    Submit and forget...

    - what is the benefits of the dir !

None what-so-ever that anyone one can actually tell. Unless you want to count the three editors that still use the directory as quality visitors...

    ...forget to submit!

It's a free one way listing that has some Page Rank and a number of clones that will send a bit of traffic your way. A lot of quick content builders will build links pages from the DMOZ directory.

People pay Yahoo and they get it for free from DMOZ (although it may take a while to get submitted, depending on the editor).

One way to speed up submission if you're really keen is to find the editor of that or a related category and ask very nicely.

Should the long time DMOZ listed sites with PR0 be shown in this thread too? And I have a site listed with NO traffic, none, ziltch, nada... in fact, can you name a single person that uses it or one of it's clones?

The best you could hope for would be an Alexa toolbar user, and we all know how good Alexa is

The only thing I've seen you type that has any semblance of truth.

If I see you say that again I'll start petitioning for the entire population of Digital Point to give you red rep. That is the BEST way not to get listed (after having crap content). Seriously, that is the WORST advice I've ever seen (after offering to pay to get in).
