I've been reading that one of the best ways to get traffic is from Digg. I'm new in this and was wondering how is it possible for me to submit my site to Digg. Would I have to write an article about it or is there another way?
Register an account at Digg.com then once your account is activated, then click 'submit new' from the top right of the digg homepage.
You can try all the Digg clones using the Pligg platform: http://forums.pligg.com/my-pligg-site/ Here's a cut and paste from the share this plug in on my site: To ShareThis, click on a service below: * Reddit * Digg * Facebook * MySpace * del.icio.us * StumbleUpon * Technorati * Google Bookmarks * Yahoo Bookmarks * Yahoo! My Web * Windows Live * Propeller * FriendFeed * Newsvine * Xanga * Mixx * Blinklist * Furl * ma.gnolia * Mister Wong
Getting traffic from Digg is very difficult.. You have to push your site to the frontpage of Digg. Then the traffic of your sites explodes.
Is there a way to boost Digg traffic numbers? Because our best articles never seem to get noticed or dugg.
Yes you need to become an active member of the community, make friends, get your friends to have digg accounts etc. That way others will get recommended by your submissions. Make sure you name your submissions in a way that attracts visitors - using keywords, make sure you are placing them in the correct category too. Placing the digg button on your site may help to get a few extra diggs too. I'm no expert though, never got to the front page with any of my submissions
