How to submit sitemap of a blog to google webmaster tools?

Though I am a newbie in website designing and SEO , My doubt is that how to submit a sitemap of a blogger to google webmaster tools.

Haven't you tried those sitemap generators? I don't know too if you're going to have duplicate links as there is a "label" on blogs and post have multiple labels.

 

If you are using wordpress, then you can install a plugin that generates sitemap automatically.

 

For a blogger blog, I can see only one option : Submit your rss feed of yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml to google webmasters tool. Webmasters tool can accept your feed, but the disadvantage of this is it won't include all of your urls & posts.

 

yep, use the googe sitemap plugin, generates automatically after new pages are created.

 

Got a blogspot blog? you don't have to manually generate a sitemap for that

here is the default rss feed url that you can submit in webmaster tools

blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

Just log into your webmaster tools account > look in the left hand side and try to find the link which says sitemap

add your sitemap and you are done!

 

Just go http://www.google.com/webmasters and signin with your blogger email address. Click add site and then click on site link. Then from the site below corner submit your sitemap. You can use the following sitemap.
1. yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
2. yourblogname.blogspot.com/rss.xml
3. yourblogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml

There are lot of site which help you to make sitemap.xml file for your site. if you using wordpress means then use sitemap.xml plugin.

 

install a plugin called google xml sitemap gnerator
it will install it automatically for you
