    actually, I meant "it may take several weeks or more before your submission is reviewed" as that is what the ADD page claims...which is the same as what you said, or even the same as "it may take several decades or more before your submission is reviewed" or even "it may take several millennium or more before your submission is reviewed"...

    What?

    What you read in the documentation is not necessarily what is what happens. They have changed several things yet have not updated their informational pages. Recently they have even started the changing what words mean!... if you are talking about how long it takes to get listed, then officially it IS "it may take several weeks or more before your submission is reviewed" as that is what is on the ADD page before you get to the submit form. If you are talking about the submit form itself then check out this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1548528

    Actually it is possible to list ANY website, if you have hundred dollars in your hand and go to scriptlance and post a project for listing your site in DMOZ. ;)

    Listed or banned for life, together with the editor?

    Do you want to gamble hundreds of dollars just to end up banned for life. I would stick with trying the free way.:D

    Since there is no proof that you are an editor or know anything about DMOZ, I take the evidnace of many sites listed by paying editors over your word.;)

    That's right! Scriptlance is really a front bu honest editors to entrap unsuspecting webmasters that want a listing, and unscrupulous editors...

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Why is it that in nearly every other thread that mentions scriptlance no editors seem to feel that anything is actually happening (as it certainly is not a sign for proof of corruption).

    Oh right... forgot. Anonymously isn't an editor!

    Visit at http://dmoz.org >> Choose directory >> choose category (which best appropriate for your site) >> Click on "Suggest URL" >> Put your Site URL, Title of Site, Site Description, Your E-mail Address, User Image Verification >> SUBMIT.

    Perhaps you're talking about a different directory. In DMOZ, the elapsed time between a listing suggestion and its evaluation (not necessarily approval) is indeterminate and uncontrolled. It can range from a day or so to a few years.

    Which happens to be a lie. I f we have to believe what you've said before.

    The lower limit can be a couple of days. I don't think such thing would happen without a little help, anyway. ;)

    The higher limit is not a few years. Since queue (pool) use is not mandatory for an editor, a suggested site can be there without evaluation forever. In fact, even if the editor uses the queue (pile) there is no warranty a site will be reviewed sometime. As the editor could sort the pile in different order each time he comes to take a site from it. At last, if the editor reaches your site in the queue, he may not like the URL and just ignore it.
    If you add the actual amount of editors to that, you can see how the actual chances of getting listed by suggesting a site are almost cero.
