HI All, I have something to ask about press release. I heard that if If I submit a press release in few sites then I can not submit same press release after few days just because press release is like a news and same news should not publish in two different days. Is this right or I can submit same press release on different-2 site on regular basis? Please clear my confusion. Thanks in advance. Ashu
Technically, anything deliberately sent to a reporter or media source is considered a press release: It is information that has been released by the act of being sent to the media. However, public relations professionals often follow a standard format that they believe is efficient and increases their odds of getting the publicity they desire. The format is supposed to help journalists separate press releases from other PR communication methods, such as pitch letters or media advisories. So it will be better that you dont repeat the content.
You can "spin" your release or change it for different outlets, it may help increase the press exposure you get.
There are many online free press release distribution services. Digg.com is the best way to get viral traffic...well..atleast for me.
Our company provides a press release distribution service. You can visit prsafe.com/pages/business to submit press releases. If you're unsure of the best format, you can look at other press releases currently on the network. The best short guide is to simply cover the who, what, where, when and why. You should ask yourself if what you are submitting would truly be of benefit to journalists. If not - stop there. If so, you might want to target your release to specific journalists and pitch them on a one-by-one basis. If going that route, you may want to simply consider writing your pitch more as a letter. But, if you want to target general newsrooms and search engines, you should structure your press release with a header, possibly a tag line, a short summary and a main body of normally about 400 words. Always ensure you spell check and, if possible, have a professional editor take a look at it for grammar and spelling. Also, editors may have recommendations on what you might want to do to spice up the release to garner the most attention. Lastly, be factual. Nobody likes a liar and if you want to get people to pay attention to you - don't cry wolf. Again, visit prsafe.com/pages/business if you want to submit a free or paid press release, save your materials and distribute to targeted or general audiences. The tips are always given on press release site to submit a press release properly. You just have to read the guidelines once.
Press release is like a news you can submit it to various press release sites, and if you have any doubts regarding that than you can read rules on that websites.
the press release is the most active content that is one type of the media and it do not require the duplicate content
Why don’t you attempt at changing your content? It is never too good to circulate the same content to more than two media people, especially for a press release. You could divide the key points into 2 or 3 press releases for different people, though.
There are lots of online press release services sites also they can also assist you in perfecting your press release. As little as spelling and grammer checking on up to a complete overhaul. I'm told they are very inexpensive while still sending your press release out on a huge distribution network (local and international). Don't poo-poo a press release distributor since you never know who's going to take an interest in your business and want to shine a big spotlight on it.
That really is not a problem, I submit PR regularly once a week to at least 5 PR sites in the same day. As long as the content has a news value and follow their guidelines your press release will be published. Also make sure you are using the same author name on every different sites you want to submit the press release, this is important, if the PR site admin find another PR on different site under a different author name they would think that you steal someone else PR, but when they see the same author name that wouldn't be a problem.
Depends on the site, usually you can put 1 or 2 anchor text with a link back to your site, but some sites only allow you to put the link on the source/website box
Normally press release websites has some terms and conditions, i have worked as a administrator of two press release websites, we will allow 2 anchor text in the body text, and press release content must be 350 and more words, should contains contact details.
A press release acts as an information buffer between journalists and solicitors, such as PR directors and business executives.Writing a good press release is an art. But if you know how to write a press release, you are only half way there. One of the most important thing you need to know about press releases is how to submit your press release. To achieve a great exposure from your press release, you need to optimize your press release for search engines, and you also need to submit your press release to the right sites.
Yes, you are right. Also from crawler point of view. That matter you have already posted is being cached by google. It won't be good if you post it again.
