Try below steps for implementation of Google analytics code into SMB Software..

    1. Download and install Ad Management mod from http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=255
    2. Paste your Google Analytics code into the "Content" box
    3. Set mark on the "Display ads on the bottom of the page"
    4. Save

let me know if these works.

Does analytics work on Ad management mods? I am not sure. And I have Ad management mods already installed, but it was not working and I had to edit the index.template.php to add the Ads myself. But I tried to put the analytics code, the same way, it threw some error. It didnt even load my Forum.

Anyways let me try this method, you suggested !

use the ad mod. if you have a custom theme, then that theme needs to be edited so your ads show. if your unfamiliar with smf software, don't try to add your ads any other way except using the ad mod.

if you cannot edit files, get someone to do it for you or figure it out, not hard.

well the theme which I use is classic and it didnt load Ads, when i used Ad management mod. So, I edited the index template and put Ads. Now when I try to put Analytics code, it is rejecting. The whole forum goes down.
