How to stop yahoo search marketing

Discussion in 'Yahoo Search Marketing' started by dealsghost, Oct 16, 2010.

    Hi,
How to ensure that all my allotted funds are utilized and after that marketing will stop, i.e yahoo do not charge my credit card because of low balance.
Currently as per my understanding it charges if your balance is less than spending of last 3 days.
    1) Now if that is true then how to plan for last 2 days if i do not want to run marketing after that?
    2) how to ensure that yahoo wont charge my card automatically(for the time being i updated cc details with wrong cvv number)?

    Regards,
    suresh

I wrote to them. It has been more than 2 weeks but no reply.
Isn't it a kind of cheating that with current setup there will never be a possibility to utilize all my funds and stop. :(
But I believe there must be some way which we two doesn't know..."yahoo can not have such unethical policies"

    anyone has any clue????

You don't have to do anything. It'll automatically sunset after Oct 26th.

Contact their support and they will provide you with the best answer however I'm pretty sure that they'll not be charging your CC if they aren't actively running your campaign..
You'll have to login ot ad center and set a new campaign up or migrate existing one in there.

It's not technically done. They just outsourced the search marketing to Bing (adCenter) to handle.

Also, @tacopalypse - the money wasn't refunded, it was transferred to the adCenter account. They sent many notices and gave plenty of time for users to migrate over to the adCenter platform.

You can pause your campaign at any time no need to worry about the credit card, you may have money or not.

Some time ago, when they had technical problems and accidently placed a script in the box on the YA pages instead of the flash ads normally displayed, I found out that adyield-manager is used to place personalized ads.

Call them or contact them to delete the account or cancel it?
You should be always to stop/pause at anytime.

Ya it may be possible but you should be alert about it and stop that service by informing your manager. You must delete or contact your account holder as early as possible.
