    Hi..
Listed below are some email ids of spammers.. Everyday my site receives some registrations from new sites and email id's and they post a spam article. As per my knowledge it is not automated posting, coz, i have few security measures taken.

How do we identify the source and prevent this??

What's the type of your web site? If it's is a blog, you can use an anti SPAM plugin. Otherwise you need to modify some advanced mechanism.

Can you not just have a system where you have to approve things before they are aloud to go on your site?

Just block the IP range of the spammer. If your site custom coded, they might have a exploit.

If they are bot spammers (computers), here are a few things you can do:
Add a good captcha (Graphic captchas are better, harder to read by bots).
Change your form id, textfield ids, submit button id, ...
Put your form in an iframe? (to hide it from bots but visible to human eyes ).

If they are human spammer (they submit by hand) and if bot spammers:
If people post an article, it need to approved by you first before it posted on the site.
Spammers will get tire and leave your site.

    Hi,

I wrote this for content scrapers but this still works with some WP spammers. Make sure you put this into your index.php file before wordpress loads.

here's the URL. Bad Bot blocker

Make sure you fix the quotes because my WP changed them

    Cheers,

    Venetsian.
