you can block particular country traffic or ip from server if you getting constant spam activity from particular country or ip.

 

I think spam can be a good thing. If it is comment spam, I just set the comments to not be allowed until I review them. They still get counted as visits, and that can be a good thing. The more natural visits, the more visitors the search engines will send me!

It's need to work on regular basis. I have many many forums they are just spam. There are no moderators what so ever.
