How to stop server load going above 5.00

    Hey guys,

    My vps is going above 5.00 load and the vps provider is disabling it automatically.

    Can you suggest a few ways to prevent it from reaching 5.00?

    I would try everything and be greatful

    Depends on what you have running. You need to figure out why its going so high. What is the output of 'top' when the load is high.

    Install CSF firewall + LFD , and set it to email you when load goes above 5. It will email you the processes which are causing load to go to 5 and then you can work on fixing the issue.

    You should check output of 'top -c' command when load goes high.

    Hello,

    You need to check processes which is over loading the server and you can do this with ps command
