How to stop PSAs on main page??

I'm not an adsense noob-- And I've done everything by the book as far as making my writer's blog adsense friendly, etc... but for some reason on the main opening page, http://www.yirmumah.djcoffman.com/bob/ , it still wants to show PSAs

The only thing I can think to do now would be to just wait it out and hope the googlebots get in order properly.

Hurm. Any suggestions, or anyone else have this problem, let me know.

when I tested your page in the adsense preview tool I noticed that you were not getting a full number of ads and that some of the ads were off topic this could have combine with the normal end of month reduction in ad inventory budgets caused by monthly ad budgets being fully consumed or the need for companies or individuals to put more cash into rent or other fixed expenses.

Odd, I can't even see your ads on the front page. PSA or not. I view them perfectly on the subpages though, like you say.

the easiest way to prevent the psa's is to use an "alternate" when you set up ads

They would be normally in the box in the top right hand corner where it says sponsored links.

He set the alternate color to white, so PSAs don't show now, just... white-ness.

The problem is stop words. When Adsense encounters too many of certain words, then it only displays PSAs or alts. You talk about God and use a lot of stop words (die, bastard, etc). Clean up your language and the ads will return. Sorry!

Well, I didnt know about Stop Words until now. And that's not my writing, it's the writer's personal blog, so I've informed him why some of those are stopping ads.

    Thanks guys!

    your most prominent keywords are:

    coppertone
    girl
    coppertone girl
    sign contest

all of which has no ads from google database. i think it's more of a "we don't have relevant ads for you" rather than "we don't like the words you picked" scenario.

might want to see what others think though. :)

I'm having this problem too!! I don't have a single word from the "Stop Words" list. I had ads just few hours before.
I even added triple content in my homepage! I had ads 20 minutes ago but they are gone :(
If I also enter to www.domain.com/default.asp I can see 1 ad unit from 3 ad units but If I'll enter to www.domain.com I can only see PSA's for all ads unit.
I have a Link Unit in my homepage as well and I can see the links. It's only for ads unit :(
I hope it will changed in the next few hours :\

BTW, I can see Google ads in your homepage and not PSA's.

Well, I *THINK* I've at least got MY problem solved. I went in and excised out some of the profanity and BAM! the ads are back.

I use profanity though not too liberally. But apparently the use of the word fuck, cock, bitch, pussy, etc is frowned upon.

Or maybe the Google gods just happened to smile down upon tonight.

Yep - that's a self-selected PSA - I'm using the approached outlined here to do that and actual track frequency of PSA's - whereas other pages may show PSA's hardly ever, that particular page is by far and away always the most number of PSA's.

I don't buy the "nothing relevent" answer because Google comes up with something for everything - there has got to be a STOP word on that page ... but there's non profanity or anything else ... so what the heck could it be?

Not really a big deal - just idle curiousity.
