20 posts? I'll say maybe 100... :) Spam is getting worse or what? I get 2-3 spammish PM's per week, and that's all.

100 posts is a lot. I dont have many posts but Im a genuine user and I use the pm system a lot (not to spam either). 20 posts is a good idea though.

This is becoming a problem, why not have a report PM button and reject PMs from a said user.
It’s a pain trying to report PMs, why not make it easier?
If a user gets so many reports he or she should be banned.

    Thanks Brian

100 is good and this would make DP much more professional but this may effect the sign up rate
ppl may not have enough time to have 100 posts and then begin to buy or sell or trade something
    i agree with 20

Rejecting or Forwarding it to a mod ?
    no use
it would just take another 5 minutes to create a new username on DP and start spamming
    ;)

Don’t duplicate accounts get banned? How about banning an IP of all banned members?

    Thanks Brian

Banning IP? I think that will cost us a problem coz we are using a shared IP :( from our local ISP...

I think Requiring them something like what DP have in BST I think that will drive them away from here or at least.

    Can't agree with this.

Many "lurkers" have gone on to become my best workers. If someone only has time to PM for vital information rather than spam the forums with useless information, it might just mean they are good at time management and only focussed on results-based actions.

For example, in the past month I have hired three full time bloggers, all of them very good and all of them with post counts below 10.

Somebody also sent a spam message with anchor text of a URL of one of the threads in DP, when i clicked it -it is a spam site. I already reported the said username.

Maybe it is just me, maybe I am very lucky, but I have not received that many spam, (maybe 2 or 3 total).
So I was under the impression that the problem was well under control.

    Been suggested before thanks.

Just think though if it was 100 posts... can you imagine all the spamming posts that would happen just so they can reach that mark. It would be horrible.
