Piracy is multi-million investment. I don't think they will ever stop.

In my country , PS2 disc is around $6-10 . Original is for $100+ , think in the negative side , are you going to pay $100+ for a temporary fun?

Visiting Russia, one day I stumbled upon a shop selling pirated movies. Forgot the prices of them, but I did notice they had banners and movies of the new tomb raider about months before it even came to North America. I found that hilarious. One game, The Sims with 3 expansion packs (doesn't sell here as they were not compatible with one another) was selling for 3$.

I think it's funny when people say prices are too high...that's why there is piracy. It's not the prices. If DVDs and PS3 games only costed three bucks, I bet you every pirate would continue to illegally download or buy illegally. People just do not want to pay at all which is a shame to the people who put hard work into the products. Are the products overprice? Maybe. But that doesn't justify pirating them.

Piracy is is like drugs and prostitution. Its big money. And there are customers willing to buy them. It is going to stay. Especially in third world countries where law enforcement is lagging.

You cannot stop piracy in any country, you can try, but you can't. Too many people are breaking the law.
