How to stop people downloading a product without buying it?

    You just need copyrights and all rights reserved (proof of purchase) lingo on the pdf. or the download page. Also make a program where the product is only accessable with a proof of purchase ID number. It's one thing to try to cover up a possible theft point and another thing to prevent the theft itself by clearly saying it is illegal.

    How big is the software file? Either way it doesn't really matter, but I use E-Junkie.com for distributing my software at PHPGator.com. Basically it auto-emails them after their purchase with a download link from their site. I have a larger Arcade script where I have the files placed in a secure directory requiring a password to access on my site. I include the password and link in a README document for the software that is downloaded from E-Junkie. It is fairly easy for the customer, and extremely easy for me. :)
