How to stop Blog spammers in easy and free way

Hi guys

I have three blogs and I am tired by marking and then deleting spam. How to stop these spammers those post junk using vpns, etc?

Any free, easy and affective method to do this? Any plugin or service?

Please help me.

I use my own questions system like what color is the sky? How do you spell cat. things like that have stopped all the spam

Turn on comments moderation?

 

if this is wordpress, then install akismet plugin else let it require a a captcha

 

I use WordPress because it has some excellent anti-spam plugins. I listed the ones that I use here:

I still might get some spam but very, very little.

 

use a captcha and turn on moderator view before publish option

 

akismet plugin or on every post disable the comments

 

If you are using Blogger. Go to Settings-->comments-->scroll down look for the word
Comment moderation ,turn it on always

or if u really wana block spammers
go to
Who Can Comment?
and set it to "Only members of this blog"

 

Nice Tips for my blogs don't forget write this on top your form comment "Please Don't Spam"

 

I get the same problem especially on my blog on blogspot. I didn't know about the comment moderation. Thanks for sharing.

 

if you use wordpress install these plugin:

SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam
akismet

and disable clickable links in all comments.

 

If you're on WordPress then the best way to combat spam is Akismet + WP Spam Free.
