I have seen many a time for something similar but have wonder how it was done. See : http://www.worldpay.com/corporate/index.php?c=UK The background images on the 2 side is still and it sticks to the top of the screen. And it sticks to the 2 sides of the table in the middle. I do not even know the description to describe the concept. Please advise with pointers.
The effect you are talking about is controlled by the CSS background property. You can set it to scroll with the page or have it fixed in one spot. Install Firefox and use the Firebug plugin to see exactly how they did it.
Thanks much, mate. You have an astonishingly nice website. Download FF3 now to use FireBug. What is the terms used in CSS? I wish to read up some tutorial about it too. A url or Google keywords would help
Thanks for that There is still something i did not understand By looking at : http://www.worldpay.com/corporate/index.php?c=UK The background is not only still BUT it is also follow the page as it was resized. Eg, Widith : 800px, the background image is fitting the table in the middle and looking nice. Eg, Width : 1280px, the backgroud image seems to expand and fit the table in the middle too. And still looking fit Why and how is that achieved?
