You can not FORCE someone to give it to you. Unless you trademark it which is costly. Let it go, find an alternative name to it like hyphenated or plural perhaps.
Im pretty shure if you offer him 1 or 2k he will drop it, hell even fly to you and sigh real documents for you
the best advice is to forget about it and move on. There are a lot of domains I've wanted badly and had to cope with the fact that they are gone forever, and I'll never own them.
I don't think the value of a domain name lies in what it is made of. It should be how easy people can remember and use them. just 2 examples, facebook and youtube. They meant nothing but it is worth alot. If you think you have a great idea and you think you can make a business, i suggest you think of a better name! Even if u successfully steal the domain by registering after it has expired and now renewed, so what ? U might get urself in lawsuit. what goes around comes around.
you could look at the whois and try to hack the contact email. get control of that and any expiry reminders will come to you or you can transfer the domain. don't do this of course - it is a scumbag trick that probably would not even work.
This thread reminds me of the guy that called me over 15 times in a week to try and take one of my domain names. I turned down every offer he gave me (xxxx-xxxxx) and told him to stop calling me. The domain is renewed till 2013, so goodluck to him trying to get it. If the seller has responded to an e-mail you sent him, there's LITTLE chance the domain is going to expire. I would suggest you put up $$$ to get the domain if you must have the name, or find another.
Just because it expires in April 09 doesn't mean that the owner won't re-register it before then...in which case, you'll be outta luck. My opinion...find another domain name and move on with your idea.
Just about everything is for sale - if the price is right. If you "really" want the domain name, make the guy an offer they can not refuse. As for "stealing" a domain from someone - that is so funny its sad, or is it so sad its funny? Surely you can not be serious? To even think about stealing, and to post in a forum asking for help, shows a lack of morals and values on your part. This path can only go one direction, and it will be bad on your behalf. What you are asking is theft - its breaking the law. Regardless of "how" you do it, its still theft. And there are laws to punish people for what you are wanting to do. Either up the $ offer, or find another domain name.
The great thing about humans is the mind is infinite. If you're creative in your thought process you can brainstorm a name just as good. WOuld you pay me to think of a new name for your company thats just as good?
alert others to this possibility. have a secure password and recovery questions and know which email acc. is the contact for your domains. some people reg a domain and stop using the email so they miss any reminders and lose it.
use domaintools.com's domain suggestion tool and they can suggest you the similar domain which you want...best of luck
I suggest move on to other name that would be faster then anything else. Or back order that domain but as you have already shown interest for that domain to domain owner he will 95% renew it he knows their is some one interested to buy same. Just try your luck to back order or email him saying best you can offer him to transfer it. Some people seeing value $100 or $500 get interested to sell it off.
