Read the sticky and search this forum for similar threads. Has been asked a ton of times already. Basically you'll want to buy a book.

If you like video over text based tutorials take a look at http://www.phpvideotutorials.com/
They're great for beginners, and the author of them is pretty funny (Leigh Mackay)

    Hi,

    1. Download the php manual store in your computer and refer to it when you write your code.
    2. Use a php editor that will help you learn php, eg( PHP editor that highlight the code, and more.."EnginSite Editor for PHP" is one of them.)
    3. The more practice you do the more php skill you will got.
    4. Join in forums and ask question and also answer php questions
    5. You can get it, if you really want it.

Be sure to always check each functions documentation on www.php.net/{function_name}, they are very well documented, along with very useful user comments.
