It is a well know fact that many members give their services on BST section in DP. But how can a newbie can start with it, As it is a common practice that peoples looking for services prefer members with Good iTraders and high reputation.

So what advice will you give to a newbie like me to start in BST section?

Start with whatever you got, services, products etc. Everyone had 0 reputation while starting out and now they have gained reputation and so can you

As you buy or sell things in the section, you'll gain more iTrader, so don't worry that you have no iTrader at first, build it up and you'll have some good iTrader :)

Do forum posting, article writing, script installing ( the list is too long to continue .. ) and you'll see that it's actually an easy task to get started :)

I really don't pay attention if the person has iTrader or not. Really it depends what it is.

Also before you offer any services make sure you have a mode of accepting payment that is user friendly.

Just don't try this now. It's why anything potentially $5 or less has to go in Freebies where no iTrader can be exchanged. We don't allow people to rack up iTrader anymore selling things with "very low price."

And to the OP, don't worry that much about iTrader. I don't exchange it on the vast majority of my deals here, and very few people seem to really give it a good look over anyway. Smart buyers know iTraders are just exchanges - folks most often leave positive (even if they're not completely happy), because if they leave negative they may get negative in return. Those buyers know to look at that only as a small scale point of reference - more importantly they'll look at thread reviews, your professional site in your sig (assuming you have one), and your posts in general to see whether or not you know what you're talking about.

Always hard at the start, you're going to have to post a bit more on the general forums to buid up some reputation and some trust. Then initially offer your services for slightly less than you'd like - that way people are more likely to take a risk and you'll build up a good reputation amongst buyers. You might also want to offer free review copies so that you can get some itrader

If they do that, they'll risk being banned for iTrader abuse. You may NOT exchange iTrader on freebies or anything $5 or under - that includes review copies.

It happened with me. I am giving away free nokia phone model based .info domains (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1255955) and one such member after getting the free domain asked me to give him a iTrade and in return he would give me a iTrade and I said that what for when there is no actual transaction happening.

He asked me around 2 times but I refused.
