Thanks guys for this quality tips.

My question is that all the jobs that I have done building link via blog comments, directory submission, forum signature etc for http://www.howtodealwithswineflu.com does not show in the in-coming link section in the admin area of the blog.

No link is shown even I key in the domain at alexa.com

    Why?

    1) Write some cool fresh unique content, and submit them to Article directories.
    2) Social bookmark your website
    3) Add your sigs to your forum signatures.
    4) Link build on PR1+ pages
    5) Have patience :)

This is what I would do:

    1. As your site is not yet launched, you should right now concentrate on building a good SB network. Make new friends and bookmark their sites. Make a good group of 300-400 people within your network. Might take 2 weeks.

    2. Then, when your site is launched you should get around 80-100 high quality articles on the site in around 8 weeks. By this I mean submit at least 1 article daily in your site.

    3. Simultaneously, you should start with high quality directory submissions from reputed members from DP. This will keep your site going for the moment.

    4. When you have got some directory submissions and content go to the SB sites where you had previously created a good network, and add your site. The friends in your network will instantly bookmark your site. This will give you a good boost in your backlinks.

    5. After you have done all that, go for high quality do-follow blog commenting and comments on high authority sites. You can buy Angela's Packs and hire people for do-follow blog commenting.

    6. At the same time go for articles submissions on Ezine and go articles to start with. Create high quality articles with the desired keyword you are targeting for your site.

    7. Get around 2000-3000 backlinks by all this and remember this might take you around 4-5 months, if worked at least 9 hours at your site each day. By that time you will get enough high quality content and you will see a significant change in your SERP and PR.

    8. By this time, you will learn other innovative ways to go for backlinking.

Note: IF you want to get your site on the 1# position on Google you will only need

    a. High quality content. Interesting topics. Search forums and see what people are looking for in the niche you are building the site.
    b. Only backlinks backlinks and backlinks. Quality is must and don't go for anything cheap. Ultimately they will cost you more then the expensive services around here.

    Hope this helps.

quality posting with your signature, good backlinks from your old site, friends site, request other webmasters and provide best articles in your sites. originality matters quantity doesn't. moreover also submit to directories and all search engines you know no matter how much worst that search engine is... that is what i do.

Correction: Don't do all of that SIMULTANEOUSLY or in a short period of time. You can submit to hundreds of directories or articles provided you perform it gradually, so that it looks like natural growth,

I have been working on the same issue, and have found a number of directories and backlink sites that allow link submission. It may take time, but I believe it will ultimately be worth the effort.

submit article to article directories or relevant blogs via free traffic system; blog commenting; social bookmarking; pingoat; forum signature, etc.
But do not do too much at a short time. Like social bookmarking, for every social bookmarking website, I just bookmark one webpage/day, occasionally, two.

Build a good and useful content first by lot of research online. Add some free widgets, application for the users. Now write to relevant blog owners asking them for links but do your offer in proper way, if your content is good, we will get responses from webmasters. Now begin with old technique ' Directory submission’, but don't overdo it. Next submit to top Social bookmarking sites like Diggs, Stumbleuopn etc. Next make some related content and publish them in Web 2.0 sites and link back them to your main site. Make well written personalized email to webmasters by making site Contacts from Google asking them for mutual business partnership. Make Good profile in Social networking sites like facebook, myspace etc and update your website link there. That's all in short.
Avoid links from link farms ,adult and casino websites.

There are some tools that can help your website to build links. However they are paid products.
