how to start a tag cloud directory

    Hi all

    just want to star a tag cloud directory and want to know from you guys the best way to star this project: scipt, useful informations etc.

    - is this a good idea?
    - is this a good way to achieve a medium-long term success?
    - can i create something REALLY useful to others, beside place some links and try to get some $?

    I could tell you my own experience, but I just started my own world cloud page a few days ago.

    It is just one more option that I have for my visitors/customers.

    Tag cloud pages can only be good for very high PR sites. I doubt the scripts mentionned here will work if you start with a new website and they look like link farms to me.
    I recently discovered a directory script that might work better for you. With this script you can create a web directory including a tag cloud that will link to internal pages of your site. This might get you a lot of targeted traffic in the future. My site is still new so I can't tell how good it will work but It's worth the try as the script is free.

    have done with SEO-Links in the tagcloud, it's a hard work and now only beta :))

    feel free to test and report errors:

    if you want this script with modifications and only fusion-theme I can send you a zip-file. SQL-changes you must edit manually (see forum-linl above).
    I'm from Germany and handicaped, programming is a hard work for me and I like US-Cars as diecast-replica in 1/18-scale :eek:))

    I use Drupal and the directory become unique, very flexible, I am developing it in a week on that day (my sig). The directory is just my experiment actually.
