I see that these are making decent money. So I would like to start my own, my question is. How would I go about starting one? My server will not host proxy sites, so which are the best to do so. And also, how do I go about getting proxies daily and having them auto-posted? Any help would be appriciated.
Get a proxy script. There are free ones about the net. I downloaded a few the other week (can't remember where from now though).
If you click the themes link in my signature, you can download either of them, upload all files and you will have a stylish, fully working phproxy in minutes
lol that's ridiculous. You're gonna pay $80/month for a new site that's making a few cents/few dollars a day?
Buy a domain name, I recommend namecheap.com. Go to freeproxytemplates.com, pick a template and script, Choose CGI for login sites. Edit the information on the config file, and edit the links on the index. Get a hosting account that allows proxies, i recommend sublimastar.com. Upload the theme to your hosting account, forward the domain to sublimastars DNS servers Get an adsense account, and you are ready to go.
You can start off with a small package. The package I used for my proxy was the 3.99 one on sublimastar. They are very generous there, if you happen to go over your bandwidth, they will just let you finish off the month with free bandwidth.
Dont forget about placing ads in the proxified pages, use adbrite or after you get lots of traffic sell banners. Adsense is only allowed on the first page. You will also want to post on all the topsites. Try not to include the word proxy or anything related to it in the URL. If you do its likely to get blocked from schools quicker. Good Luck Jason
Check the thread at general bussiness ,you can't have missed that. Some members here actually have a step by step guide, which will get you started.
Another question How long do proxy sites live for before I would basically have to kill the domain and buy another one?
They last until you are uncomfortable with their income. That's how I do it anyway, and then you flip or sell them. If you can promote your site good, you can earn a nice income, then sell. So if you play your cards right, proxies will never put you in the hole.
Yes you can get blocked, but thats over a period of time, there are many schools, business, and offices that use the proxy services. You would most likely sell before you got completely blocked by all organizations.
So I can have the site for like 2-3 years and not have a problem... hmmm very awesome. Yea, I really need to set me one up ASAP. Friggin paypal needs to have a better system, I am getting tired of this fake claim stuff and it takes forever for them to settle it.
