    Hi,

I've been studying & doing SEO for a few years now, when I was just starting out this was the part where I got stuck (knowing if I can really compete and if I'll be able to rank quickly, spotting a low competition keyword using these tips could have you ranking page one in few days time with minimal back linking effort). It's really much easier if you know what to look for.

Here are 2 very basic tips that will speed up your keyword research dramatically:

    1. What are the first 3 most basic things an SEO would do when optimizing a page for a keyword? Title, Meta Description and URL. If you see many pages on the first page without the exact keyword in any of these areas it's a great indicator that no SEO's are working on targeting the keyword. If you do see all the words from the keyword you are researching but not in the correct or following order this could still mean you are up against some competition so watch out for that.

    2. If you see Forums, document sharing sites or deep inner pages of websites ranking on the first page for example: dogtrainingtips.com/bestfoodfordogs/beef/57838.html. No one does SEO on these types of pages which mean you can easily rank on the first page for the keyword.

The keyword should be included in the title, description, and in the url of your text or youtube
    video.

    Thanks for the sharing.

    All the best.

Hi Gianni, I'm not sure if you understood me correctly, I meant that if the keyword is not in those 3 places when looking at the first page of Google results when doing your keyword research it means that there is very low competition for the keyword and you can easily rank for it.
