Does anybody know of a program I could use to split the audio of an MP3 or sound file? I need this to remove vocals from a song.

I went to the site but the description says this is to split mp3s into parts but I need to remove the vocals. Does anybody know where I could get high quality midi versions and/or karaoke versions of songs?

Why don't you find the instrumental or musical version of the song on the net?

None. There's no way you can split the vocal from stereo mp3. Except the format is L: Vocal and R: Music, in this case you can use Steinberg Wavelab or Nuendo for proffessional work.

Skinny is right there, try MIDI. If you're looking for instrumental audio / Non Midi. You'll not find it, because its copyrighted.

The best thing to do is download the midi, edit the midi trought Cakewalk Audio software and adjust the instrument per track so you'll find what you're looking for.

Most of the programs I've seen that remove vocals do a terrible job. All they do is futz with the bass and midtones and whatnot to "drop out" the vocals, which 100% of the time leaves the song with dips in volume and spots where it sounds like the music is garbled. Not worth it at all.
