I have recently started an ecommerce site for discount electronics. I have a huge product selection and most of my prices are less than other large online competitors, substantially less in some cases. My question is, if I have $100 per month to spend on advertising to get some people to my site, what is the the best way to do it? Should I find a PR3 site? I want to spend this money the most wisely obviously. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
For ecommerce sites, I have had fantastic and incomparable success using Google AdWords. Just set up your account and cart properly to track conversions so you aren't wasting money on the wrong keywords/ads.
Yes but for $100/month - that probably isnt going to be enough is it? Perhaps some longtailed keywords might work but still thats like $3-$5 dollars per day -- dunno how much that will accomplish.
projectwonderful.com you bid on site's for a single day. Many times you can get an ad on a 10-20k hit site related to your content for a couple dollars.
Another way to advertise is to advertise in ezines. You can do a search for electronics ezines and then buy ads in the ones which look most promising.
