Whether you buy backlinks or hire a writer to produce content for you, or anything else, be sure to look into who you are paying *very* carefully. If I were 17 again, that would be the one thing Id want someone to tell me...especially if I were doing business online. Dont just go with the cheapest, but also dont assume the more expensive option is the best. Be certain about his or her background and abilities before sending a dime. Once you are certain then you dont have to check next time you need their services. Eventually you will have a handful of people that you trust and can help you build your site. BTW, I vote for putting $ into backlinks unless you dont have the time to build your own content, then put it into content and backlinks.
Hi everyone, thanks for all your help I'm now thinking of buying a link from Alive Directory. It's $35 dollar per year and the inner page (PR4) where I'll be listed on has only one site on it: http://www.alivedirectory.com/News/Sports/ (I have another website truecrimexpo.co.za, so maybe it's a good idea to rather pay $70 for 4 websites.) Is it better to be listed in Alive than in Aviva? Aviva asks $50. Aviva has more inbound links than Alive. The page (PR5) where I'll be listed on looks like this: http://www.avivadirectory.com/News/Other/ Last question... If I pay people now to submit the website to 1700 directories (the domain name is 15 months old, not 2 years) and about half of them approve in the next few weeks, will Google see it as spam and ban my website?
