Here is the link to my forum:- http://symbianism.com

Well, I was just wondering, I tried checking my forum speed test with iwebtool and compare it with those forums which is as big as mine and those forums which are very big(500k-1mil members) with large content, and unfortunately, it shows my size of my forum being as big as those big forums with 1m members but my forum is just one year old and it has 20k members, how come it has such huge size. And also my forum loads even slower than these 1m members forum.

Can anyone tell me how to reduce such size? And how to make it faster? As my host is the same as that huge forum.. So I am just puzzled why my site loads slower and have bigger size that the enormous forum.

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Hi

I suggest you get some cache addons installed.

Also consider getting a VPS or dedicated server so you can run php accelerators.

Also consider cleaning your cache tables in your forum admin cp.

If you really are getting that kind of traffic you should really be on a VPS so you can tune your database server.

If your host supports it you may want to make some of your tables MEMORY or InnoDB. I'm not familiar enough with vBulletin or your host to say which.

Prune inactive members, though. They can take up a lot of room in some forum software.
