How to Speed Up Load Time?

My sports blog has been loading pretty slowly this past week, and I was wondering what is the best way to speed up load time or if there are any good optimizers. I have 2 Ad Toll ads, 1 Adsense block, 3 images, and a few other scripts on the each page by default.

Also, is there any way to make header ads load after content?

well, ads make your site go slow. take them off maybe.

as for optimizing the images, don't compress them if they're jpg's, or I'll smack you in the face and never visit your site.

I just checked it now and it loadd very fast for me. meh.

Could it be the peel ad thing? i dont know, just a suggestion, has it always been slow or recently after you added something? change one thing at a time to see what is the worst culprit.

um... did you consider switching the host??
the host's internet connection might be causing problem.
just try the site on a different server, for testing purpose, and see how it works there.

    Well, seeing THIS:

    SELECT t.*, tt.*, tr.object_id FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tt.term_id = t.term_id INNER JOIN wp_term_relationships AS tr ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN ('category', 'post_tag') AND tr.object_id IN (314, 313, 312, 311, 309, 307, 306, 305) ORDER BY t.name ASC

WordPress database error: [Got error 28 from storage engine]
    SELECT * FROM wp_QuoteRotator ORDER BY RAND(1203787051)

When visiting the site - probably not a good sign... seeing php errors like it after every post - even worse.
