About the war on drugs. Lets see, where to start with that one. First off, let me let you all know my qualification to speak on the war on drugs. I am a Drug Recognition Expert. I work only narcotics investigations (I'm in Germany right now) for the US Army. I work very close with the Kriminal Polizei anytime it is somehow linked to a soldier, or could target us soldiers. Now, what are my personal views on them? I don't think they should be illegal at all, not a single one of them. Same rules in place as alcohol. However, I think there are certain exceptions. As with overuse of alcohol, overuse of drugs is bad. I don't think anyone in the US Military should be allowed to use them as that takes away combat effectiveness. However, in the rest of the world, I think it should be up to an employer, not the government, to tell the people if they can or can't do it while employed there. I'm all for less government. I am a ultra conservative extremist I guess you could say lol. I think the government should be there to support the people, not the other way around. I don't like all these far reaching laws about everything. I saw on the news today Obama appointed some retired admiral from the Navy as Director of National Security. GREAT! I also saw he is planning on drawing back the military's role in the war on terror and wants to fight it on the intelligence side of the house. You know, he may work out after all. As stated, I am in the military, and I think the military really doesn't have any business in this "war on terror" unless it is acting on intelligence gained by the CIA/DIA/NSA. Such as raids. However, there should not be full blown military operations. And vip, I think we're somewhere on the same page with illegal immigrants if I read your post correctly...maybe not though. And I understand what your saying now, kind of. However, what you stated in your original post.....are all horrible ideas.
I have not heard of Michael Savage, I looked him up but whatever airwaves he's on either don't reach me, or I haven't caught him on air. Not like I would be interested, anyways - I'm not a conservative, let alone an extremist conservative. Thanks HLN, the point of the post wasn't to speak innovative ideas and make people think how brilliant these solutions are. The point was to be hypocritical - and thus show the hypocrisy of all these unattainable goals, or goals that are costing too much and doing too little good for the general welfare of the common people. I'm glad people caught on.
Ahhh, ok ok. That makes a lot of sense now. Good way to make a point too, I couldn't believe no one responded sooner than I did lol. I am very concerned it took that long, that to me says quite a few people actually agree with this idea, but just didn't want to air the laundry yet.
I've gotten some negative feedbacks over this thread, which I find funny... I think the message behind the initial ignorance was a nice way to push a concept through, despite the fact that not many got it.
Yeah, I think what got a lot of the negative feedback was probably the banning of islam because they look like terrorists remark.
Well, think of it this way: if you own a store from which the same exact 8 or 9 year old looking kid with the mohawk steals stuff, but you can never see his face to identify him. Wouldn't you want to kick every kid with a mohawk out of your store? I mean, how much business can an 8 year old bring to your shop, versus the risk of suffering losses, having to go through legal stuff, etc etc. I know, probably a bad analogy, but oh well
yeah bad, just a tad. Its wrong to do such things, it doesn't mean you can't keep a close eye on the 8 yo
