when you are in love with some valuable domain names you own? Well I did some research and seems like domain theft does happen and its just not a pretty experience. We all probably own atleast xxx domains out of which 3 are really what we would like to stick to and are very valuable also. How do you protect them? Buy Godaddy's Platinum registration. Why...here's why. Expiration Protection protects you from credit card expiration, failed billing, or outdated contact information. Deadbolt Transfer Protection: makes it impossible for MOST transfers to occur -inadvertent, accidental, malicious or otherwise What do you guys think?
sounds like crap to me. plenty of other registrars put security features in. I believe net sol did 100 year registration offer, Moniker and Fabulous emphasize security and have never lost domains. If you're really worried, reg it for 10 years. Godaddy thing just sounds like a scam, why should you pay extra for something that they should be responsible for to begin with? I find it more ironic that godaddy would more than happily sell off your name on tdnam auction platform rather than expiring it anyways. Waste of money, they are huge hypocrites and their service sucks to boot.
Godaddy.Com is simply the best. They're cheap, quick, fast, reliable, trustworthy, Support is also good. Well i haven't got any complaints against godaddy in the last 12 months! They're simply amazing
When you have platinum registration, even if someone got hold of your account password they cannot transfer the domain. Its a dead bolt. That was the only reason I got it. I am not trying to market Godaddy. Just wondering if some one else also offers it. I have been thinking putting some of my domains with other registrars just in case.
@sherytiger: http://nodaddy.com/ Plenty of horror stories, a couple have made national news, like they shut down a security site. They pull domains for even a spam complaint (which they dont verify). When asked about their policies they don't give a damn about you the client. Quick? Last time I checked out there I had 164 extra options I had to say no to first. Call that amazing? You need to find a new registrar. @AlwaysThinking: If you really have high value names, some registrars will call you and verify changes and such. I wouldn't trust godadddy to watch my pet fish.
