How to shorten database driven domain names

My web site runs via a logistics company and as a result the domains are very long like:

and

http://www.XXXXXXXXX.co.uk/productdetail.php?master=1001&dept=1002&number=WAS-WOD-CLA

I am new and was wondering if there was a way to shorten the URL for type in traffic?

something like www.xxxx.co.uk/product1.php

Do you want to shorten the domain name, or the actual URL? You can't really do anything about the domain name but read up on htaccess and mod_rewrite for 'custom' URLs.
