Once you create a goal or two - it really isn't too bad to get the hang of. However, there are a couple of different ways to go about setting up a goal so it's not just a simple checklist... There are four types of goals you can set up (destination, duration, pages/screens per session and event). Every goal I've set up and used has been a DESTINATION goal. And of those DESTINATION goals, some have "funnels" and some do not. What sort of goal are you trying to track? Are you looking to see how many people fill out a survey form? Go to a specific page?
Goals are set at View Level. When you will open the google.com/analytics, on the top you will see Admin, click on that, there you will see 3 levels, View level is the last one. There are 4 Goal types Destination Duration Pages Events Choose any one of the Goal and you can even create Funnel.
Guys..he's not asking what a "Goal" is, lol. He's just asking how to set one up! 1) Login to Google Analytics 2) Select your Website 3) Click 'Admin' at the top 4) Select 'Goals' under 'View' 5) Click +New Goal 6) Follow the step by step instructions
To do it, first set up URLs on which you want to record final visits, and take care of that URL must be only accessible from specific paths, and then set paths in Funnel and add final URL to destination option. And to reach goal setting page, you can use above references... Thanks,
