How to setup custom DNS?

    Hi,

I'm looking how I can set up my own nameservers. I have a dedicated server with cPanel/WHM on it.
My domains are registered with MochaHost and they really suck, so I do not have any build-in functions like with GoDaddy.

    Thanks

You must first determine your nameserver IP addresses. This is normally given to you in the welcome email from your hosting server. You can also ask for it from your hosting service.
Once you have your IP addresses go to Basic cPanel/WHM Setup and look for Primary Nameserver (or Primary DNS). Then enter ns1.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com wih your actual domain name) and assign your first nameserver IP address. Then look for Secondary Nameserver (or Secondary DNS), enter ns2.yourdomain.com and assign your second nameserver IP address to it.
