The steps differs from the control panel software used by domain registrar and web hosting provider.

The sequence of steps are as follows:

    1. Sign for the web hosting plan. Ask the web hosting provider for the DNS nameserver records.
    2. Apply the name server records to your domain at domain registration control panel.
    3. Host the domain using the web hosting control panel, if not added already.
    4. Check or create FTP account using which you can upload your website.
    5. You are done.

You may also need to allow 24-48 hours for the DNS propagation depending upon your location and ISP.

Tutorials for using control panels are usually provided by the web hosting company itself.
