Does anyone know how to set up vBulletin I have a domain name and dont know what to do next. Can you recommend hosting - I want the cheapest and best place to host vBulletin forums How do it get vBulletin and how much does it cost
There are lot of good hosting for you to choose. I prefer hostgator or dreamhost as your hosting. Isn't the Vbulletin come up with the manual?
I havent got the actual software yet, but im going to get really soon. I just want to know prices etc, like how much it will cost to get the forum up and running.
Better find out budget hosting first, later or sooner you can upgrade your site forum accordingly, by doing so this will bring down your budget. Not really sure how much its will cost you. just my two cent
Can check hosting at dreamhost as low as $9.95 a month, not to mention dreamhost has their own wiki and blog. Good support too
do u have an vBulletin license ? check out www.vbulletin.com for the 2 licenses available. You have suite and forum license, its up to you to decide which is best for you. You can get the vB script installed by yourself or get it done paid via vB.com technical team (paid above $100) or get it installed by some one in this forum who might charge u more reasonably or some times the hosting support team tend to help newbies with installations free of cost. Since, you are starting up forum, shared hosting would do for you. You can look at various options such as - hostgator, midphase, fatcow.
you can find a vb suite in the marketplace here for around 100$ you can find the forum alone for as low as 50$!!
If you buy from me, I include FREE installation, upgrades, conversion and will install all mods you want. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1972440
