    Hi There!

    I'm new here, and I need your expertise about Google Analytics guys.
    Can anyone please help me or provide me steps on how to track a subdirectory on analytics? I did a couple of research and applied them, but I think there was a problem on it. What I did was, I put the tracking code on all of my subdirectory pages and create separate folders/profile for each category then, create and individual filters - (include only subdirectory). My question is on each folder/profile under the website URL: I put the subdirectory URL (example:www.mydomain.com/category) is this correct? am i doing the right thing?
    Please can anyone help me about this matter?
    Really appreciate all of your reply guys.

    Many thanks...

    To my understanding, what people usually do is to:
    1. Add Profile For An Existing Domain
    2. Specify the Profile Website URL as http://www.domainname.com/
    3. Add a predefined filter using Include Only + traffics to the subdirectories + that contain OR that begin with. Then specify subdirectory as /subdirectoryname/

    You can also try out the another way out:
    1. Add Profile For An Existing Domain
    2. Specify the Profile Website URL as http://www.domainname.com/subdirectoryname/
    3. No need to add filter anymore.

    Many thanks for your reply manish.chauhan.

    What I actually did is this the first process but on (2.) I use this 2. Specify the Profile Website URL as http://www.domainname.com/subdirectoryname/. I tried this one already You can also try out the another way out:
    1. Add Profile For An Existing Domain
    2. Specify the Profile Website URL as http://www.domainname.com/subdirectoryname/
    3. No need to add filter anymore.
    and the data shows exactly the same on the homepage data.

    Thanks again... :)

    We have universal analtic set up & we have launched subdirectory website, for example www.website.com/newwebsite/

    I created new view For Subdirectory website in Google analytics.

    After I created Filter for that specific subdirectory website - newwebsite with Filter Type Custome.

    Host name - Filter Field A -> Extract A: (.*)

    Requested URI- Field B -> Extract B: (.*)

    Requested URI- Output To -> Constructor: $A1$B1

    I put exact above info.

    Also completed Referral Exclusion but still I can see url like www.website.com/property, ww.website.com/category and etc.

    Please help me, I did anything wrong?

    Thanks in advance.
