How to set up and monetize proxy sites?

I have a question. How do I set up a proxy site? Where do I get the script from? Also, how to monetize them?? Anything other than Adsense? Is Adsense the best choice for it?

Its easy,get the script from freeproxytemplate/domain/hosting then you're ready to run.
You can use adsense/adbrite/canep to make money from it.
Adsense is risky to put at proxy.

 

I know you can get a good script at sitesellforums.com/proxyscript.php. But if you want a free
one without the template you can probably just do a search on google for a CGI proxy .

 

Thanks to everyone for their advice. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to market proxies? There are like a million billion out there. Why yours?

 

Yahoo Groups / Answers, promotional newsletters, topsites, etc. The trick is first attracting visitors, but then making sure your proxy doesn't have too many ads / works on all sites as this will ensure that the visitors will continue to come back.
