I was wondering what the easiest way is to set the title and description tags on wordpress. I saw that under general settings there is a 'site title' and a 'tagline'.....Right now it seems like it is using them both for the title tag on the homepage, and just the 'site title' for the title tag on the other pages on the site. I would like to know how I can quickly change the title and description tags for each individual page. Thanks.
http://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/ or http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ is what most folks are using. hope that helps, Nigel
Although All In One SEO Pack is more up-to-date and feature-packed, I am personally fan of Platinum SEO Pack. It works with the latest version of WordPress and does the job well.
I use All In One SEO Pack which Nigel Lew linked above, you install it into your wordpress blog, and it will add this into the Page and Post editor window:
The Yoast SEO Plugin is great for beginners and allows you to update title, description and keywords on a page by page (or post) basis.
