How to SEO referral/affiliate links?

    I have seen some referral links while searching on Google. Can anybody tell me how to SEO ref. links like "http://sitename.com/id=1234" ?

    I Googled a lot about this, but could not find helpful info.

    I have seen some affiliate tracking script on hotscripts.com some time ago. They used links like <a href="yourdomain.tld" id="affiliate-id">Link</a>. But I have no idea how to make the PHP script which can track the id.
