I hope the title says my question.Suppose, I want to optimize my site for two keywords like Virus and email, then, where to start? What are the requirements to get those keywords on first page of Google legally?
    Thanks.:)

Start building links for those keywords... But really, good luck if you only target a 1 word key phrase...!

No offence, but you are never going to learn how to SEO a website to the top of the search engines from a single post.

Someone would have to write a book for you and I doubt that will happen ;)

    1. A single word is rarely targeted enough. So optimizing for 1 word keyword is sometimes a waste of resources and time.
    2. Getting backlinks is not enough. You will need a trusted domain, fresh original content and a nice onpage optimization.

I think the first thing you need to do is to create unique contents around the keywords first. Then you will need to build links to your contents. Both the index page and the deep links.

But as all the DP fellows say, it will be quite difficult for you to target at a one word phrase.

Taking your original example of virus, it can mean computer virus and it also can mean virus some the medicine field. I don't think it will be a good idea for a single site to focus on both aspects. As a result, it will not be a good idea to target at the word "virus".

A single keyword like 'email' or 'virus' would be quite tough. You have to keep in mind that you can't get ALL your backlinks using that keyword as it would be considered keyword spam and you might get penalized.

I prefer to go with things like 'email service', 'New email', 'best email software' etc. etc. as anchor keywords apart from 'email' so that I start ranking for longer terms and then address the single word.

if you're trying to compromise your keyword search or Google Yahoo and MSN your keyword page should be very particular for example the word virus and work e-mail should be your target focus.

Make sure we use those two keywords in the title of your metadata. This will help your search engine ranking and visits to your website.

Make sure you start a niche blog attached that blog to your website.
If I give you any more information on job cheers best of luck.
