I was looking at my google analytics and I noticed that the majority of my traffic I am getting is from keywords I didn't even seo for. The keyword I seoed for will only account for like 15% of my traffic and the rest is from hundreds of other keywords. I'll only get 1-2 hits from each but over hundreds and hundreds of them It accounts for most of my traffic. So it seems like that is working for me so I am going to try to focus more effort to doing that. I've already been working on writing more content for the site. What would be the best way to seo for that? Just trying to get any particular link that will pass pr to me or what? That seems like most of the big news sites do. They just write content (news) and half the time it will automatically get pushed up to the top in hundreds of various keywords found in the article just because it is from cnn.com or foxnews.com (or whatever high pr domain).
Even when you think those keywords may be random, in the collective mind of all internet users, there might be some relevance, hence you are getting good SERP and eventually clicks. Try to see if any of those keywords somewhat relate to one another and then categorize them (or put them in a sequence if applicable). Then create informative pages for each of those and link those pages within that category to one another. This will certainly get you a boost in SERPs. Acquiring relevant inbound links, as always, will improve your rankings on SERPs even further.
