How to seo domain for æ ø å?

Hi,

I am from Norway and i want to know how do i choose a domain and rank for keywords on google where keywords include these words æ ø å ?

The thing i find out is:
æ = ae
ø =
Ã¥ = aa

example a keyword: "lån" how can i choose a domain where this word can be in keyword? cause i have take a look when searched google so i doesnt find any domain that included keyword when using æ ø å.

I think you can't choose these words in your domain registration, You can only use the alphabets from a-z or numbers from 1-9 or (-) this sign only.

Wrong, it is actually possible to registert domains with Æ Ø Å.

That aa, ae, oe thing doesn't mather to google. Just optimize like you would with any other domain. If your domain is lån.no, try getting "lån" in your anchor text. Anyways, I've never seen domains with ÆØÅ rank that well in search engines. I would rather use it as a usability thing, since many old users don't know that you shouldn't use it. Many browsers don't support it either, since you need a plugin to visit those domains (I don't think IE 6 has this plugin).

If you run a site about economy (økonomi), I would rather register both okonomi.no and økonomi.no, and optimize the first one.

btw, if we look at for example lån.no, it's really just "short for" xn--ln-yia.no

in my opinion, it's better to avoid from those letters .

it will be difficult people to remember domains with those letters

 

The thing i found when searched one net, is called Ace Domain Name. Thanks so much for help.
