    Hey, folks, please help:

How to send money from US to Russia?

I didn't realize that's not so easy. Both Paypal and Moneybookers don't work.

    I know only Western Union.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

Why PayPal doesn't work? I believe Russian can use PayPal.

I believe people from Russia also like WebMoney service. Otherwise, you can use Western Union or wire transfer

Paypal is an interesting thing. You can send money from Russia to almost any country with paypal, but if you are in Russia you cannot recieve money through Paypal.

It's funny, I 've had Paypal for four years and just found that!

If you're sending to someone trustable, then I'd say use Western Union.

Or even a bank (wire) transfer.

MoneyGram is your best bet - It's like Western Union, only with lower fees!

Other than that, a cheaper option is bank wire, but that will have a few days delay.

Finally, I'm not sure if WebMoney accepts paypal, but if they do, I've heard that they are really popular in Russia...

Webmoney is good, but if you want to send money on a regular basis and want very low fees, your best bet is to get a Mastercard or Visa debit card and send one to the person in Russia. Then you just load funds on the card and they withdraw from any ATM in Russia.

You could try bank to bank wire transfer or by international travel card or western union. If you have any Russian friends in US or if you are in US, then just ask them if they want some money to spend in US and ask them to give the same amount money to you in your Russian bank account, that might be quicker and smarter :D

This is not true. I'm from Russia and I can receive overseas transfers through Paypal to my both personal & business accounts from other countries, but there one rule:
    • Russian business PayPal account can't receive money from other business accounts (no matter from wich country transfer is)
To avoid this rule you can:
    • use your personal PayPal account for money transfer to Russian Paypal account
    • ask for a personal account from Russian person whom you want to transfer money
Also in Russia are very popular that payment systems:
    • Webmoney (http://www.wmtransfer.com/)
    • QIWI (https://qiwi.com)
