Hey, I have a backup of my members database including email addresses from a previous website I was running. Due to a few problems earlier in the year the site went down and I was unable to retrieve it. The new site is now up and because i'm using different CMS software I cannot import the member database. I want to be able to email my members to let them all know that the sites up and to re-register etc. What is the best way of doing this? I don't want to pay a company to do 'mass mail' because I wouldn't want my trusted members database to fall into the wrong hands. Ideally I should be able to do this from my own computer or from a script on my webserver. Please advise. Thanks people
Maybe you should consider signing up for a cheap VPS plan and set up your email server there. I don't think shared host will allow you to send that amount of emails due to their limitations.
I have good relations with my server hosting company. I don't think this will be a problem as its a legitimate exercise. How would I go about this on my server? I have cPanel installed. Someone suggested using a feature there although I have been unable to find any options to send out multiple emails. Ideally though, i'd like to send these directly from my computer if possible.
www.Swiftpage.com is by far the BEST option. I recommend them, i have them and its easy to use and the support is great.
