    Hi !

I have a bit of a problem here... I bought myself an email list with over 1 Million email addresses for targeted traffic (no spam... list was quite expensive !)
But now I have a problem.. how can I sent an email to aaaaallll those email addresses ?

I can't use my ISP SMTP mailer, they will block me immediatly for bulk mailining.

Any links to online services/bulk mail SMTP servers etc ?

    Thanks soo much !

I believe you could use http://www.sendblaster.com for this task.

It's free to use if you send only 100 e-mails at a time, but there is also a paid version that let's you send unlimited amount of mails.

I think if you purchase a software you can send it from your computer.

The best is to get a dedicated server install Qmail and send by batches. You won't fear any ISP blocking you if you do that.

Aweber wont work as they havent opted in there so they will first be forced to opt in again before you can mail them. Importing lists to most responders sucks.

Try setting up your e-mail with Google's SMTP server. If you google it, there's tons of articles on how to do it. Then just use an automatic e-mail sender to send the messages through Gmail's SMTP.

Imagine your email is included on that list.. If the list has been sold to 100 people, you will also receive 100 spam...

    Email marketing sucks!

Hi, this is actually quite difficult to do.

The best way is to use ARP-3 software,
    produced here in the UK.

You can get a dedicated server, or better
    have your own server.

    I take it this is a co-opt list? I had a go
with a list like this. 500,000 and the
    dedicated server could not cope.

If I were to do it now, I would hire a PHP
programmer (I have a very good one now).

Then split the list into 250K chunks and
stick it on 4 self built (high spec servers),
    with ARP-3 software.

Send the list a 7-part eZine that really
cooks. Get them to opt-in to my regular
    autoresponder (AWeber or Automateyourlist.com).

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    RevRPM

Thanks for the great replies !

I tried sendblaster but they require that you search your own SMTP or run one on your own pc...
I googled for Gmail's SMTP server, but I'm a bit scared that google will ban me.. I personally use gmail everyday, so getting banned by gmail would be a disaster.

Merk13 describes my problem precisely ! Indeed, you just can't import mail addresses to online optin services, they need to signup all manually..

So the best option is to get cheap webhosting and use their SMTP server ?

    Thanks again

I have a script I use, I can set it up to send 1 e-mail per minute if I want to, I usually set a decent sleep time and let the script run until it finishes. I suppose it is the best way.

    1 minute per email?
    1,000,000 minutes
    16667 hours
    694 days
    1.9 years

    I don't think that'll cut the mustard.

Well no. Random, untargetted email marketing sucks. Opt-in email marketing is very effective.

Don't pin your hopes on that list of 1 million being very responsive.
